ILA Bridges: Instructional Units for the Engaging Classroom
Want to know what quality literacy instruction looks like in action across the K–12 curriculum? ILA Bridges: Instructional Units for the Engaging Classroom show just that. Spearheaded by ILA's Literacy Research Panel, this series is designed to support CCSS implementation. Every unit has been authored by a teacher–researcher team with one goal in mind: bridge research and practice for high engagement and rich student learning. Assessments have been included for each week’s teaching and learning activities, in addition to an idea for a culminating project.
ILA Bridges, offered in PDF format for easy access on multiple devices, are available exclusively to ILA members. Not a member? See what you're missing with this FREE sample unit, then join ILA to access our growing collection!
Have ideas for sharing your own units? We’re accepting units on all topics and levels, but are particularly interested in secondary school materials and units that emphasize project-based learning. Review the submission guidelines and note the quarterly deadlines.
