New editors, new directions...

If you are a teacher in your first years of practice you will find RT to be a compass that guides you through the challenging waters of a new profession. Likewise, if you are a veteran teacher RT can help you validate (or question) your classroom practices, learn of research trends, and discover ways to adapt instruction for students with special needs.

RT is edited by Robert B. Cooter, Jr. (e–mail) at Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky, USA and J. Helen Perkins (e–mail), at The University of Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

The Reading Teacher is published 8 times a year, monthly from September through May, with a combined issue in December/January. Submission of articles and Teaching Tips for peer review is encouraged.
