Literacy Links

In seeking to provide our members with the widest possible range of resources on reading and reading instruction, the International Reading Association recognizes the many other institutions, organizations, and agencies that share our commitment to promoting literacy and improving educational opportunity for all. This section offers a sampling of groups that have worked in partnership with the Association, that members have found to be helpful sources of information, or that may assist members in their professional development.

The organizations listed here represent a variety of interests and viewpoints, and their appearance in the list does not imply endorsement by the International Reading Association. Likewise, a group’s absence from the list does not imply censure of any kind.

The list has been divided into two parts. The first, called Reading Links, contains organizations whose chief concern is reading and language instruction. The second, called Education Links, includes groups involved in education more generally. In all sections, users can find resources for parents, teachers, and researchers, specialists and nonspecialists alike.

Users are invited to send questions, comments, or suggestions to the Web editors.
